How to Send Facebook Lead Ad Leads to Your Dealer CRM (ADF/XML)

Automatically send Facebook & Instagram Lead Ad leads to your automotive dealer CRM in ADF/XML format — the industry-standard format supported by VinSolutions, ELEAD, DealerSocket, ProMax, and most dealer CRM systems.

Before You Start

  • LeadSync account (Business plan or higher)
  • Facebook Page with Lead Ads enabled
  • An active Facebook Lead Ad campaign
  • Your dealer CRM's intake email address (the email your CRM uses to receive ADF leads)

Step 1: Connect Your Facebook Account

  1. Log in to LeadSync
  2. Go to Ad Accounts > Facebook from the left menu
  3. Click Add Facebook Account
  4. Sign in to Facebook and authorize LeadSync
  5. Your account appears in the table when connected

Step 2: Set Up an ADF/XML Connection

  1. Go to Connections from the left menu
  2. Click Add Connection
  3. Select ADF/XML (Automotive CRM) from the dropdown
  4. Enter your CRM Email Address — this is the email your dealer CRM uses to receive leads (e.g., leads@crm.vinsolutions.com). You can enter multiple addresses separated by commas.
  5. Name your connection (e.g., "VinSolutions ADF")
  6. Click Update Connection

Where do I find my CRM email?

Contact your CRM provider or check your CRM's settings for an "ADF lead intake email" or "lead email address." Common CRM providers and where to find it:

  • VinSolutions: Settings > Lead Sources > ADF/XML Email
  • ELEAD: Administration > Lead Routing > Email Address
  • DealerSocket: Admin > Lead Sources > Intake Email
  • ProMax: Setup > Internet Settings > ADF Email

Step 3: Connect Your Lead Form

  1. Go to Lead Forms from the left menu
  2. Click Add Facebook Lead Form
  3. Select your Page and Lead Form
  4. Select your ADF/XML Connection
  5. Map your fields: Match your Facebook form fields to ADF fields
    • First Name, Last Name (or Full Name)
    • Email
    • Phone
    • Vehicle Year, Make, Model (if using custom questions)
    • Vehicle Interest (buy/lease/sell/trade-in/test-drive)
    • Comments
  6. Click Update Notification

Vehicle fields are optional

If your Facebook form doesn't collect vehicle information, you can skip those fields. The ADF XML will still be valid — only customer contact info is required.

Step 4: Test Your Setup

Use the test lead form connection guide to send a test lead. The ADF/XML email should appear in your CRM within 1-2 minutes.

How It Works

LeadSync converts your Facebook lead data into a properly formatted ADF/XML document and emails it to your CRM. The email includes:

  • The ADF XML as the email body
  • An XML file attachment (lead.xml) for maximum CRM compatibility
  • A subject line with the lead's name (e.g., "New Lead - John Smith")

Troubleshooting

  • Can't see your Page? Make sure your Facebook account has admin access to the Page.
  • Lead not in CRM? Check that your CRM email address is correct and that your CRM is configured to accept ADF leads via email.
  • Form not showing? The form must be part of an active or paused campaign.
  • Missing fields? Make sure you've mapped your Facebook form fields to the correct ADF fields in Step 3.
